The "Pichon" is a favorite among the kids in our model airplane workshops. It's the ideal choice as a second model or for those with some experience in building it. Designed by the Argentinian Marcelo Leys, this 55.5 cm (21.5 inch) wingspan airplane boasts a well-executed design, which we've updated with a didactic construction system without compromising its excellent flight characteristics.
This model thrives on calm days: with little to no wind, it performs at its best. But strong gusts? Not so much for it. To launch it, simply gradually increase the propeller's rotation and release it as if aiming at a target. Keep it level or slightly tilted upwards, launch it confidently, and watch it soar to great heights. The rudder allows you to adjust for a smooth and elegant turn. It's, essentially, an invitation to experiment and have fun.
